Supplement Facts

SlimSet Supplement Facts

The SlimSet panel declares one capsule as a serving, thirty servings a container, and a milligram figure against all five actives.

Caffeine anhydrous is the largest row at 138 mg; green coffee bean, raspberry ketone, garcinia and green tea extract are 130 mg each, totalling 658 mg. A dagger against every row marks that no Daily Value is established.

The whole declaration, and how to read each field on it.

The panel as printed

What is printed on the SlimSet Supplement Facts panel?

Reproduced row for row, so this website can be held against the bottle that arrives.

The flat SlimSet label artwork, with the Supplement Facts panel on the right
Row, as printedAmount per serving% Daily Value
Green Coffee Bean Extract (Coffea robusta) (seed) (50% chlorogenic acids)130 mg
Raspberry Ketone130 mg
Garcinia Extract (Garcinia cambogia) (fruit) (50% HCA)130 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous138 mg
Green Tea Extract (Camellia sinensis) (leaf) (98% polyphenols, 75% catechins, 45% EGCG, <3% caffeine)130 mg

Serving size: 1 capsule. Servings per container: 30. The label prints a double asterisk against every row and the footnote “Daily Value (DV) not established”. It is set as a dagger here so a reference mark cannot be mistaken for a claim marker; no row on this panel carries a Daily Value.

Other ingredients: hypromellose (vegetable capsule). Contains Caffeine.

That is the whole declaration. Five rows, one inactive line, one allergen-style statement about the caffeine, and a footnote covering every row at once. A buyer holding the bottle should be able to read this page and the artwork in parallel and find no difference between them; if there is one, the bottle is the document that governs.

Reading the format

What each field on the SlimSet panel is for

Six fields, each answering a different question about the same bottle.

A Supplement Facts panel is a regulated format rather than a design choice, and every field on it answers a specific question. Reading them in order is a skill worth having for any bottle, not only this one.

Serving size: 1 capsule

The quantity every number below it refers to. A panel declaring two capsules a serving is printing figures for two capsules, and comparing it with this one row-for-row without noticing that is the commonest arithmetic mistake in the category. Here the serving and the capsule are the same thing, which makes this label unusually easy to read.

Servings per container: 30

Multiply by the serving size and you have the bottle: thirty capsules, thirty servings, one month at the label dose. It is also the figure that turns a price into a cost per day, which is how the pricing page compares the three packs.

Amount Per Serving

The column carrying the weights. On this panel every row has one, which is what makes the rest of this website possible. A proprietary blend would have put one total here and kept the five figures private.

% Daily Value, and the dagger against every row

A Daily Value is a reference intake set for nutrients: vitamins, minerals, protein, fibre. None of these five is a nutrient in that sense, so no reference intake exists and the column carries a reference mark instead. The footnote explains it once for all five rows, which is the correct form.

Other Ingredients

Everything that is not an active, in descending order by weight. Here it is one entry: hypromellose (vegetable capsule). A short line is a good sign on a capsule, because it means no bulking agent, flow agent or colour was needed to make the fill work.

The statement under it

“Contains Caffeine.” is printed on its own, in the position a buyer scanning for warnings will look. It repeats a fact the panel already carries, which is the right instinct on a product whose largest row is a stimulant.

What the numbers let you do

The arithmetic the SlimSet panel supports

Six sums the label makes possible, and the one it leaves open.

Because every row carries a figure, four calculations can be done from this panel alone. Each one is worth doing before a purchase, and none of them needs anything beyond the artwork.

The questionThe calculationThe answer
How much active is in one capsule?130 + 130 + 130 + 138 + 130658 mg of declared extract
How much hydroxycitric acid does it deliver?130 mg at 50 per cent HCA65 mg
How much EGCG does it deliver?130 mg at 45 per cent EGCG58.5 mg
How much caffeine can the green tea row add?130 mg at under 3 per cent caffeineUnder 3.9 mg

What does a bottle cost a day?Pack total divided by 30 days a bottle$2.97 on one bottle, $1.97 on three, $1.63 on six

Six sums, all of them from figures printed on the bottle or the seller’s own price block. The compound column is carried further on the ingredients page.

The one figure the panel does not support

Total caffeine. The printed 138 mg is caffeine anhydrous alone; the green tea row is bounded at under 3.9 mg and the green coffee row is not bounded at all, because unroasted robusta seed carries caffeine naturally and the label standardises that row for chlorogenic acids instead. A survey of commercial green coffee extracts measured both compounds across the products on sale and found the caffeine content varies considerably between preparations. So the honest total is 138 mg plus single-digit milligrams, which is a bound rather than a figure.

Honest critique

One irregularity on the SlimSet panel, recorded once

Stated once, with the rest of the panel’s record beside it.

Panels are expected to run in descending order of predominance, largest row first. Caffeine anhydrous is the largest row at 138 mg and it is printed fourth, below three rows of 130 mg.

It is a formatting slip on an otherwise careful label rather than evidence of anything, and it changes no quantity: the caffeine row still reads 138 mg and the other four still read 130. No argument on this website rests on it, and it is recorded here because a reader comparing this page with the bottle deserves to find it noted rather than to wonder whether the site misread the artwork.

What is worth noticing beside it is how much this panel does correctly. Every active carries a weight, three rows carry a standardisation percentage, one carries an upper bound, the species and plant part are named where they apply, and the inactive line is one entry long. The ordering is the only thing out of place.

What the SlimSet label prints outside the panel

Six blocks beyond the panel, quoted rather than summarised.

Five more blocks sit on the artwork, and between them they carry every instruction and every restriction the maker publishes.

Suggested use

“As a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. For best results, take 20–30 minutes before a meal with 8 oz of water or as directed by your healthcare professional.” Taken apart clause by clause on how to take it.

Storage

“Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and light.” Short, and more consequential than it looks on a bottle containing plant extracts and a hygroscopic powder.

Caution

“Do not exceed recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18 and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing.”

Origin

“Manufactured in the USA with globally sourced ingredients.” Printed beside a flag device. The longer wording is the accurate one and it is more careful than one of the marks on the seller’s icon strip, which testing and quality audits.

Questions

SlimSet panel questions

What is the SlimSet serving size?

One capsule, and there are 30 in a bottle, so a bottle is a month at the label dose.

Why is there no % Daily Value?

A Daily Value is a reference intake set for nutrients. None of these five rows has one, so the column carries a reference mark and the footnote reads “Daily Value (DV) not established”.

Is there a proprietary blend?

No. All 5 actives have their own row and their own figure, totalling 658 mg of declared extract per capsule.

What are the other ingredients?

One line: hypromellose (vegetable capsule). The panel then prints “Contains Caffeine.” separately.

Does the panel list any allergens?

The only statement of that kind is the caffeine line. No milk, soy, wheat, egg, fish or tree nut declaration appears on the artwork.

How much caffeine is in the whole capsule?

138 mg printed as caffeine anhydrous, plus under 3.9 mg the green tea row can carry at its stated ceiling, plus a small amount from the green coffee row that the label does not quantify.
